Name(s) Of Different Photo Hosting Services.

It seems your out of the loop. You need to use a different photo hosting service than Photobucket.

Could you name some different services to use. I wish we could just copy and paste on the Forum, but that is not allowed. I've been having problems off and on with Photobucket, and would like to use someone else. Thanks ahead of time.

I switched to Imgbb. Very fast and with no adds. Was able to download the Photobucket library and upload it to Imgbb in just a few minutes. The up and down load times of course depend on your internet service.

...my photobucket shots appear ok...what's going on?
It seems some people have been linking to Photobucket using copy/paste instead of embed codes, and so far they are not shut off. But the terms of service were changed to forbid this type of use unless you subscribe at the 399 dollar a year level.

If you have not seen the results here yet, look at an older thread that probably has a bunch of pictures. Photobucket pics are being masked with something that looks like a car speedometer.

Model39, you also can post photos that are stored on your computer by using the "attachments" icon that looks like a paper clip on your tool bar when writing or editing your message here on the Forum. It's a very easy way to upload photos. They will be thumbnails in your post, but when clicked on, they will appear at a nice larger size, not too much different than what you'd have with Photobucket (if it still worked) or one of the other photo-hosting sites. Only drawback is there's a maximum of five pictures per post using the Forum's software.

The other drawback with the forum photo hosting is that there are pixel and file size restrictions that often require photo resizing work before the photo file is accepted.

Photobucket now wants money for 3rd party image hosting. You need to upgrade your account or ditch them. Just ditch them. Their site is so over run with ads it's almost useless. Oh, they also offer and ad free page for $9.99/month....yeah....seeeee yaaaaa photobucket.

Post image i have found is the best...photobucket has lost their mind with these new rules...

Here's what I did with my Photobucket photos, and it didn't take very long to do about 150 of them:

In Photobucket, when you click on your picture and it appears in full size on the page, there are some options listed to the right. One is "download." Doing that will send the photo to your computer. It happens very quickly. To continue downloading them, you can either back up to your full list again, or you can select from the pictures that display underneath your full-size one, using arrows to go forward and backward, and work your way through your list that way.

With all your photos back on your computer again, you can easily upload the ones you need directly to whichever Forum post of yours that you want. Again, as described above, you're limited to five per post.

None of mine needed any resizing, as bigwheelzip mentioned. I remember having to do that a long time ago on here, but now the software must do it automatically and easily.

Since finding out about the Photobucket issue yesterday, I've gone back to my posts that had Photobucket pictures on them -- starting with the threads I had begun myself that included photos in the initial post -- and edited the posts to delete the Photobucket code and upload the same photos back to the post by using the Forum software. It's been surprisingly easy and fast.

Photo service

Yesterday I dumped Photosuckit and went with Postimage. I've posted several photos around the forum with Postimage and so far so good :)

Yup, another Postimage new member lol. Very quick and easy. Just need to upload my PB album and then I can delete all my pics there.

Unfortunately, for some of us here on the forum, we can't see our previously uploaded attachments in User CP / Attachments anymore. After the forum did it's last update, that had several problems, we get a blank page instead of a list of the links for the attachments, which you could reuse on a new post instead of uploading that picture again.

Since I can't see them or maintain them I won't be using that until it's fixed, which didn't sound likely to be too soon.

You forgot to mention the best perk. If you click on your photo hosted at Postimage it will take you to links to Russian "ladies".
