They are on a J frame M60 no dash

I think they are laminate? But what I am asking is what "wood" grain are they? Rosewood?

These are Altamont "rosewood" laminates. Most laminates are made of cheaper wood, so it is unlikely they are actually rosewood, but rather dyed to look like it. The wood doesn't need to be overly strong, as the lamination provides the strength, and most lighter (in color and density), cheaper woods take dye much better than say walnut. Some of the strongest laminate I've come into contact with is made from bamboo and it is quite distinctive looking - I'd love to see a set of grips made out of it.

I also seem to have some Laminated Grips.
Which ones are these?

A clue to what? I was trying to find out the "grain".
I think we are sure they are Altamont
All of the Altamont "Super Woods" are just marketing names and have nothing to do with grain or species.

From their website:
The materials available will depend on the gun you are outfitting. Most will be available in our super woods - Super Rosewood, Super Walnut, or Silverblack. These three are dyed birch laminates.
