I'd like some help identifying the manufacture date of my S&W Mod. 28 Highway Patrolman, thanks!
Here's my info:
-Hand Ejector
-Serial # S 105114
-Caliber: .357 CTG "Highway Patrolman"
-Barrel: 4"
-Adjustable sight, post war.
-5 screw

If the serial number is correct, it would date to 1954, although it is a very early Highway Patrolman it is not a Model 28. Model numbers were not assigned until 1957.

Thats sounds right, when my father purchased it. Ser. # is correct.

Yes. Smooth Rose wood S&W grips.

Nice grips! They might not be original as most HPs of that era shipped with magnas. They do look period correct though, at least from the photos.
