Mods, please remove. Moved ad to another forum.I've been a member of this forum since 2015 but, other than occasionally reading posts, I've not contributed to the discussions as I am not as well-versed in the subject matter as most of you. I spend most of my time on the CMP forums (cav_cdr) as my interest lies mainly in the realm of US military firearms. I was reminded of this forum by another, respected, member and thought this might be of interest to some of you.
I would like to sell my S&W .38 Military & Police Model of 1905, Fourth Change Revolver (pre-Victory model). This piece was made prior to the US involvement in WWII per Canadian Government Contract, and shipped as part of 1,000 units from the S&W factory to the British Purchasing Commission, New York, NY on 20 June, 1941. Appears to be all original parts and finish. Chambered for the .38 S&W cartridge. 6" barrel with excellent bore. Hammer and trigger have clear color case hardening. Excellent function. Correct checkered walnut grips with S&W medallions with s/n stamped inside right grip. Correct Canadian and British proofs. Lanyard loop. According to the information provided in the S&W Historical Foundation letter, other than usage wear, this revolver is exactly as it left the factory in June, 1941. The documentation letter from Roy Jinks at S&W Historical Foundation will be included with sale. See photos at S&W .38 M&P - Canada - Google Photos
$750 shipped, insured within CONUS only where legal. Offers gladly considered. Payment via USPS money order. Please email or PM any questions before purchasing.
Thanks for your consideration.
