Great looking gun Doc! Here is my humble contribution. A very early 60 that is high polished although the photo doesn't show this well. The medallions and grip screw fittings are also stainless steel. The first few hundred guns have these features.

The word "Master" is definitely not an exageration here. That ram looks alive. I think I saw its muscles twitching. I would also like to know more about the front sight. I got out my cheap magnifying glass to try to see it better. No luck. What is it?

The front sight....best as I can determine it is like a cloud formation, or waves, or...? I think Mr. Joaquin left it so people could draw their own conclusions. It is definitely not an animal of any type. Also, note the nude on the frame in front of the cylinder coming out of the scroll work. Nudes were the "signature" of Mr. Joaquin. See photo below that better shows each feature.

My engraved Model 60

Here is my engraved Model 60 and companion engraved stainless Kabar pocket knife. All work including the ivory grips, case and knife were done by James DeMunck of Rochester, N.Y. for me back in 1981.

"DJ" did front sights that way on some models, but I have not seen it done by other engravers. He also "carved" and inlaid various images in gold on them.
