PMC .45acp

I’m considering getting some PMC “Bronze” .45acp ammunition. It is less expensive than most I’ve seen, I’ll use it for plinking, is anyone familiar with this brand? Thanks

I've used it, own a few boxes I bought online. It's good. I see it in local stores now after the "ammo crunch". Quality is fine. Buy it and use it.

I’ve used it in my 1911’s. No issues at all. Accuracy about average. A little on the dirty side. I prefer Speer Lawman but it comes down to what you can find.

PMC ammo has given me lots of quality shooting time, plus cases !!

Have yet to have a fail to fire or a "Flyer" in all the ammo I have shot. (even 270-30-06)

If the price is right, buy it.

I have shot a bunch of it, in pistols, and revolvers.
Buy it cheap, and stack it deep.

PMC has always been quality in my book.

Never had any issue with it in any caliber.

It’s not hot ammo, but who needs hot ammo for the range ?

I've used PMC Bronze ammo in other calibers, but not 45 ACP. I recall seeing a video where Bill Wilson stated that PMC Bronze 45 ACP was good factory ammo. He certainly should know.

Today, PMC ammo is Precision Made Cartridges based and made in Houston, Texas from what I'm reading and seeing on their site.

PMC ammo is extremely high quality ammo and IMO if you can find it, buy it now, especially if the price is best where you are looking.

FWIW, Pan Metals has the worlds Largest vertical turret lathe, 100 meter table, think about that for a minute… Used to turn housings for nuke reactor buildings..

Bronze is my carry ammo in 9mm. Pletiful to find, economical enough to practice with from time to time.

Used PMC in my AR and XDS 45 for years. Find it to be very good quality ammo. Surprised to also find it for my .32acp.

I don't search for it specifically but if I need ammo and it's available at a decent price I'll buy it.

I have understood that PMC has two plants in South Korea, and at present all PMC ammunition sold in the USA comes from those. In the past there have been several now-defunct distributors located in the USA that sold PMC (and Eldorado) labeled ammunition sourced elsewhere, such as Philippines, South Africa, and Mexico. One can always tell where imported ammunition is made, as it is is required to be clearly stated on the box.

No cause for concern regarding the quality of PMC ammunition. PMC stood for Poongsan Machine Corporation, now just Poongsan Corporation.
