A question about a Mika round bottom. I noted a 1 7/8" bbl in my order. Would it make much of a difference with a 2" bbl J frame?

I highly doubt it. I carry my 2 1/4" Taurus 605 in the same Mika PH that I sometimes use for my 1 7/8" 360 PD.

A 1 7/8" is referred to as a 2" I have a Mika pocket 2" and it works fine with my 1 7/8" model 37

I actually just got off the phone with Mr. Mika. After reading this thread, I was convince that I needed to try his product out with my Centennial J-frame. He was a very nice guy to speak with, and I have no doubt that I will be pleased with the holster when it arrives, based on the accolades posted here.

I will stop back to report when it gets here. Thanks to the OP for starting this thread.

I have a Mika pocket holster but I use my Uncle Mike's pocket holsters instead. The Mika is made very well but it's bigger in my pocket than the Uncle Mikes.

Smitty

You know Smitty, I was doing the same...until I healed up and started doing alot of my construction duties myself.

This summer - with me sweating like a pig in the Texas humidity - I fell in love with the Mika. The UM is smaller, but also allowed droplets of perspiration to form on my 642 above the grip area. Not so with the Mika.

The excessive heat buildup in my pocket formed the Mika like a glove to the j-frame - but still no printing. It's now my favorite.

My normal carry for my 642 is OWB with an Andrews Custom Leather pancake style holster. However, when the need arises to pocket carry, I turn to Andrews leather pocket holster. No printing and it is boned to stay open for reholstering. Also has rough side out for pocket retension.
