The luster of polished nickel guns is truly gorgeous in person, but it sure does make me hesitant to handle them and ruin that mirror finish.

High-polish stainless steel can look almost as good IMO.

Nickel never went away

Smith & Wesson has offered many revolvers in nickel in recent years.

At this moment there are only 8 different revolver variations being cataloged in Nickel as a standard choice

The problem is that nickel revolvers do not sell very well

Right now, as in Today, you can purchase any revolver Smith & Wesson makes (excluding Scandium alloy) and they will custom finish it for you in nickel.

They will even put bright nickel on a stainless revolver if that is what you want

How about a 28-2 in nickel. I bought this one at a pawn shop. I guess someone liked nickel enough to have the gun redone in it. I like N frame 28-2's enough to buy it.

Is this something that's changed recently? I called S&W a few months ago asking about having my M-36 nickeled. They told me they don't do nickel finishes any more.

i Guess the world famous smith n wesson nickel finish is gone forever. Colts nickel is gone too.

It's either live without it or send my revolvers out to be redone in nickel.
I have a nib m29-10 and a m28 I'd like in nickel.

Here's my m27-2 p&r 357. Puffy 99.99% condition.
