Poll...Speed loaders...Time to end this debate

At One time or another I had been to both the Sig and Glock armorers course, as well as maintaining the firearms for a 200 man department. I really don't advise clipping coils off of the manufacturers springs. Magazine or any other.
I've had to testify in Grand Jury's about officer involved shooting, both training and weapons conditions. It's not a place you want to be with modifications.
Range toys, do what you want within safe practices. Self defense, keep stock.

When speaking of "speed loaders", I immediately think of revolvers.
And yes, I have HKS "speed loaders" for my N and K frame S&W revolvers.
But a few years back, Midway had a "close-out" on HKS magazine "speed loaders".
That's what HKS calls them.
Right on the package "HKS Magazine Speed Loader".
They fit over the mag body and utilize a lever to push the top cartridge down so the subsequent cartridge can be inserted.
I purchased a couple (different sizes for different mags) but I found them a bit awkward in use.
Fortunately, I am only 71 years old and my thumbs still work fine for mag loading, (thank God).

Terminology does make a difference. If you ask for a "clip," you might get just that - a "clip," which is NOT a magazine no matter how often the term is incorrectly used.
Same with what I think you are asking. Speedloaders are devices used to quickly reload revolver cylinders, and the most popular brands are HKS and Safariland.
An UpLULA is a pistol magazine loader. There are all sorts of them on the market, and many claim to be faster than UpLULA, but having tried many of them, there are just none that are better than the UpLULA by the Maglula people.
I have numerous caliber and model revolvers. HKS makes speed loaders for all of them. Not so with Safariland. I prefer the consistency of using the same style speed loaders with all my revolvers.
I do have and practice with speed strips too.

I'm glad that you all are having fun discussing this. I even enjoy reading it, but talking about loading magazines is like talking about what brand of cigarette to smoke after, well, whatever. The cigarette isn't the issue.
The whole concept of magazines (the original speed loaders) is that you load them, all of them, beforehand. Doesn't matter whether you use your thumbs, or someone else's thumbs, or a complex device, or a simple tool that spreads out the pressure. You just load enough mags and take them along. If you don't have enough mags, buy some more. Cheaper than a red dot sight, generally, arguably more useful, and often easier to carry without buying another holster.

No, that's not the difference at all.
HKS is a brand and their products are specifically called speedloaders. They make them for magazines and revolvers. Uplula calls their product magazine loaders. Put all the spaces in there that you want or don't want, but speedloader is the proper term for HKS's speed loading line. Please feel free to investigate this with the actual manufacturers of these products. You're asking for Coke when you really mean Pepsi and then telling us that we're wrong.

The Uplula was invented by the Israelis. Apparently they felt the need for "speedy loading" a magazine.

lol okay. Please keep editing your images to make your point out of context and then double down on that. Here's your image unedited and back in context. Speedloader is obviously their product name and they refer to it as a mag loader, which it is. Not sure why this is such a hard concept. Also, why are you resorting to name calling? Kinda goofy, but whatever. The internet has all kinds, I guess.

I have a peripheral motor nerve condition which, according to my Neurologist, gives me profound weakness in my right hand and wrist and moderate weakness in my left hand and wrist.
So when I got a Glock 33 as my first semi-auto, I assumed that, because of my faulty motor nerves and gimpy hands, I'd need to use a magazine loading gadget.
Out of curiosity, I tried just loading it with my thumbs and it actually wasn't all that difficult.
Even with my gimpy hands.
I don't need no steenkin' mag loading gadget.
