I'm 69 and am well aware of the negative press my baby-boom age group have generated, and part of that negativity is our sheer numbers which skewed a whole society. It's just our generation bulge that is reflected in this little poll, no?
BTW, I love this forum, and everyday enjoy reading the life of American hand gunners, often with envy, but not always. I just lurk and don't feel I can add much to your narratives.

Bought my 1st revolver age 26 Colt Python 1973 Promptly bought 2 S&Ws Mod 29-2,(I think) and a Mod 57 both blued. Started seriously collecting S&Ws in 2011. Have 2 bottom feeders G19 and a S&W 6906. Also 2 22 autos. Sig, and Ruger. Love em all. EDC S&W Mod 60-7.

Interesting bell curve. I kind of expected the peak to be my age group (51-60) just due to sheer numbers combined with interest in computer forum participation. Kinda cool to see that the next age group (61-70) is leading with the highest number of participants.

29 years old here and utterly in love with revolvers. Unfortunately I only own one at the moment. But that will be changing next year.

Im proud to say Im in the lower age group (31-40) and was taught from a young age to respect quality in guns. Thanks to my father and grandfater I only buy / shoot P&R S&W, old Winchesters (mainly .22's- 52's, 75's, 69's etc) and a handful of other quality guns. I belive quality will always bring a premium...if not more for my kids!!!!

I guess it depends on ones perspective. To the youngsters all but the first one or two groups might be considered crusty. ;) Myself included.

"Depends?" If one is wearing Depends, I'd think a certain level of "crustiness" would be a given ...

My 17 year old has claimed the 15-3 and my 12 year old has claimed the 28-2. When they can safely store them, probably sometime in their 20's, they will be revolver owners

So long as I don't have to vote on a butterfly ballot. Does that tell you something?

First revolver (and handgun$: Hawes Deputy Marshal, Christmas, 1968.

First CF: Ruger OM Blackhawk .357/9mm convertible, 1974.

First S&W: 19-3 1976.

Still got the first two.

I'm 56 and do not live in West Palm Beach.

I find it much better.....

How depressing.

Anyway, my 21 year old wanted a PC revolver, but paid half the amount for a slightly used Glock.

If I bought something because it was cheaper than an S&W, I'd not be satisfied. I bought a cheap gun for a 'stop-gap' measure and though it fills the need, I'm not happy with it.

I was tempted to get a Ruger rather than a Smith when I wanted a 686. Nothing against Ruger, but I'm so glad I went a little out on the limb for a 686.

An aside to the OP's poll; How many years have you owned S&Ws? I'm 76.5 yrs. now. I purchased my first S&W the day after my 21st. birthday in 1960. On that great day, the second day of my life that I could legally purchase a handgun in Nevada, I purchased both a S&W Combat Masterpiece 38 Special and a Colt Python, 4". Both used and in like new condition. I have owed one S&W or another ever since. The Colt Pythons that I have owned went away for one reason or another. The S&W revolvers have remained as my "go to guns". I have probably carried concealed a S&W M 60 more than any other of my concealable handguns. But, I digress......so if I can still subtract, I have owned a S&W for more than 55 yrs. And, no, I don't still own that original S&W.

Anyone else? I am referring to S&Ws that you have purchased on your own, not those given to you. ..............

Bought the 1st S&W on 02/18/93. A 686-3 w/6". It's my baby and exactly 1 year to the day older than my marriage. They are both just as solid and reliable as it gets! Blessings happen!!!

Why have you excluded Smith and Wesson owners under the age of 21?

I got my first S&W, a 6" Model 27, when I was 17

Cool, but honestly, how many members do you think there are in this forum that are under 21 and have their own revolvers?
