Ponies in the stable

Have a couple of old Colt Revolvers..... Including my Dad's .357 New Service from 1938/39 with King sights and a .25 colt pocket still in the box.

But I moved away from the cocked and locked 1911s in the 80s in favor of the Sig P series 220s and 245s for carry .45s

I did pick up a lightly used Sig C-3 awhile back cus everyone should have a 1911 and I have always felt a 1911 with a Commander upper and Officers frame would be the ideal combo for a concealed carry, cocked and locked, .45. Back in the 80s to get that "Combo" you had to buy 2 guns and build your own!

Even though my saferoom is well decorated with S&Ws and a few DWs(same family ain't they?)I own a few Colts.
Like I said in another post, the law forbids me of having more than one wife but I can have as many guns as I want.So my ''harem''of Colts,S&W and DW,spiced with a few Rugers,Walters and CZs(and a few others)are all getting along well. And what's fun is that I intend to grow that harem!.

My first pistol was a Colt Military .45 that I "got" from my (ex) brother -in-law, (a police officer,) at the age of 17. (I'm not 60 yet, but those were the days.) :D

I totally took it apart, several times, and thought I improved it. It
eventually went to the Portland Police Armorer to fix my "work".

I still work on Colt .45's, but now with different results.

I will never have enough, but I have a start for representative and functional examples. LOVE my Colts, old to new.

Jim
