Poor accuracy?

Hello everyone, new member here although have hd my M&P's for a little over 6 mos. I must say that I LOVE the ergonomics of the M&P pistols and that is one of the main reasons that I chose this platform over my previous choice (Glock).
My question is this, has anyone had accuracy issues with their full size M&P's?
Here is my experience, this is repeatable over several range visits, so not an anomaly but my M&P shoots 5 inches too low at 10 yards and the groups are poor. I had my friend shoot it and he got the same results. I than shot my friends H&K USP and although I have never shot this gun before, again at 10 yards I consistently got 3" groups right in the center of the target. I can shoot my CZ to that same standard so I am wondering what gives with the M&P? Could it be the barrel or something else?

I also want to mention that ammo used between the weapons was all the same brand/batch, so eliminate that as a possible cause.

I've had my .45C to the range several times. The first 50 rounds I too felt like it wasn't too great.

Since then I have about 500 rds through it and either me or the pistol straightened up.

5 inches at 10 yards is pretty poor. I wouldn't hesitate to call S & W.

I had something similar happen with a new JM 625 I bought. At 10 yards it shot 7 inches or more high right. I had a friend shoot it as well and exact same results. I called S & W they sent a shipping label. I had it back within 3 weeks. Only thing that was noted that rear sight was changed. It shoots like a dream now.

I'm sure others will say that there's nothing to it, but I do think it takes a few rounds for a pistol or rifle for that matter to shoot itself in so to speak.

That's a large miss for only ten yards. I don't think I would wait I would give S & W a call. I've only used it once but their customer service was pretty darn good.

Thanks for the reply DW. I have maybe 300 rounds through it thus far with these kind of results, so I will be giving S&W a call tomorrow to see if I can get this resolved.

Just because 2 other handguns shoot your ammo OK, doesn't mean a third will. Try some other ammo at the minimum. Good luck

Oh I have tried 3 different types of ammo, I just brought that up to eliminate possible causes.
