Fitting the barrel through the slide was like biting down on a fork and pulling it through your teeth. But as bad and nasty as it was, the action still felt solid and healthy. I'd kinda like to get it from him as a project. Been wanting an excuse to cerekote an M&P.

How much was he asking for it?

I've seen a few pictures of Glocks that looked like that. But thats because they were dropped in salt water and treated as boat anchors.
