That last one is hilarious.
Gotta wonder how bad their apartment must smell for the fart sprayer to have triggered THREE times and they don't even seem to have noticed!

I've read that in some places porch piracy is becoming an organized crime. I have been a victim twice, nothing much you can do about it after it happens. Recently, we've had a number of mailbox thefts also, even involving those large multi-compartment mailboxes some neighborhoods have.

I wonder if you can buy those dye packets that they use in banks to mark bank robbers?

Possibly the manufacture will be glad to sell to you.

From what my DIL says (She is a bank district manager) that many banks are now moving away from the dye packs and hiding a very small GPS gizmo in their "Holdup Money" Sort of a just follow the money scenario!:)

I wonder how long it will be until the guy has multiple lawsuits against him. Amazing it didn't happen last year. Bad guy and buddies open package in moving car, looses control, hits something or someone.

IMHO not worth the risk.

Sad, but probably true. It is a sue crazy world out there.

To bad as the guy has a brilliant idea.

This is where it helps to live in a relatively quiet, safe neighborhood with nice-but-nosy neighbors. :D In this new age of buy everything on-line, my good wife gets packages left for her on our front steps at least 3 or 4 times/week and much more often than that during the Christmas shopping season. Lots of shipping damaged packages, but none stolen so far (knock on wood). :)

The nosy neighbors won't be coming with us to our new place, but it would take an awfully bold thief to travel down our driveway and walk around the garage to our front steps. They should be easy to identify as well with our nifty new hi-def security camera system. :p

Yeah, as much as I love the karma in his method, at some point, his justified retaliation might be some low-life schlub's and his ambulance chaser hired gun's "booby trap".

Too high tech for me. I like the woman in Florida who left a box containing used diapers, a co-worker said he knew someone who did that to combat lunch thieves. I would use the contents of my cat's litter box. Perhaps tempting food items with some special added ingredients.

You mean like the "guy" that used Cat Food on a "Tuna" samich for at work fridge lunch thieves????:D;)

This is why I have a private mailbox. I have packages sent there and I don't have to worry about them being left on my doorstep. I just go pick it up at my convenience.

It also comes in handy when buying/selling things via eBay.
