I've got two full size Performance Center 9 M2.0 pistoles with identical features. Both have 5" ported stainless barrels, however one has no markings other than the 9MM stamp, and the other has a "41" stamped on it. The other noticeable difference is the muzzle, with the marked barrel having a beveled finish and the other having a round over finish.
I haven't been able to find any information regarding a stamped M&P barrel, let alone one with a "41" on it, and given the fact that Smith & Wesson make a model "41" in 22 cal. I'm left with more questions. I guess the best option now is to ask if anyone has or has seen a stamp on any M&P 9mm barrel (I own five and only one is marked), or does anyone have an idea why a barrel would have a "41" stamped?
