Post War .32 Hand Ejector

I’ve been looking for one of these for a while at a good price and brought this one home this week. This little guy shipped in May of 1951 to NYPD and was one of a hundred in the shipment. Serial number is 554394 and the stocks appear to be pre war, maybe replaced by a department armorer. I requested a letter for this one as I was not expecting this little gun to have any LE provenance, much less NYPD.
