post your M&P sport round count

Back in the day my issued M16 was real loud, the spring slap was horrible, much better when we went to the M4.

Yeah back in the Day my 16 sounded like a daisy BB gun!!!it actually unnerved me everytime I shot the sproinging thing!! LOL

1600 as of this week, and 300 on the way. I bought my sport a couple months ago.
Last 200 was steel cased brown bear with no hiccups.
I noticed it smelt funny, vs. my normal lake city.

Whats up fellas No rounds to report?

Just got done cleaning up the rifles and pistols from a day at St. Crispian shooting course- Carbine course. Link:The Quarter Deck

I ran the 15 Sport today,, my son John ran the DPMS Oracle, and my son Kevin ran his rifle he built. A total round count for the 3 of us was 2445 for the day. ZERO failures!!!!:D 'Cheap' guns ruled the day. 800 rounds each, no cleaning.
It was a really good course, Stan is an excellent instructor; former Marine.
We shot the HELL out of the rifles- zeroed in, adjusted a couple clicks, then went to town. Slow, fast, up, down, sideways, you name it.
So, the round count is now: DPMS Oracle: 7,400 rounds total. S&W Sport: 6900 rounds. 95% of ammo shot has been WPA/ Wolf.
The older, black box Wolf is circa 2009. It has a red sealer on the primers. This ammo stinks a bit, but for us, no issues today. The WPA is in a camo colored box. It's good stuff. Pretty clean running, and not stinky. WPA is 2010 and 2011 vintage.
FWIW, rifle prep, service, etc. for these 2 rifles: Basic lubing and cleaning. Careful cleaning of the bolt carrier internals has been a big part of the lack of failures. If you have never looked down inside there where the gas block vents to the bolt chamber....... it gets hot and grumpy in there. You NEED to really clean that area well. I clean the chamber with a chamber brush regularly; one specific for the AR15. Use a solvent when you work the brush in, a lot of solvent. Cuts the buildup before it causes bigger problems.
I did replace the extractor on the DPMS a week ago. I do feel the extractor might have worn a bit early by the steel cases, but the cost of an extractor for every 7,000 rounds or so is a minor inconvenience, and it does not negate the savings on the cost of ammo- not even close. Also, from day 1, this particular extractor looked to have a really small clearance for the lip to grab the cases. Under a magnifying glass, the new one is definitely better looking. And, the Sport's extractor looks much better, and has never had an issue pulling a stuck round, etc.

And, my son was funny as hell today, diving in the mud with 3 Seals watching and a couple other HSLD there at another training course next to us. I'll try to upload a couple pics later. I am bushed.

Well. I've put another 250 through the rifle. 90 rem .223. The rest were a buddies tulammo. That makes 650 no FTF.

I've gone through 750 rounds of freedommunitions.com 55g FMJ reloads. All have gone bang.

Yesterday we had two cease fires called in the middle of a firing round due to wild turkeys coming out to graze on the 100 yd line. As a result I had to empty ten 10-round mags in the final 12 minute round of the day. I managed to do it in under 10 (no rapid fire at the range). The gas block was smoking. haha.

Well, I went thought 250 rounds last time I went to the range. I haven't clean my 15sport like I usually do. I thinking about taking it in dirty. I almost want to make it FTF/FTE.
Any thoughts??

I don't get to shoot my M&P 15-Sport often, so my round count is pretty low.

100 .223 TulAmmo 55gr FMJ
100 .223 American Eagle 55gr Varmint Tipped
40 5.56 Winchester
40 5.56 Federal XM193
10 5.56 Federal Green Tip
10 2.23 Hornady Superperformance
10 2.23 Hornady Z-Max
===================
310 rds Total :(

I wish there were more places to shoot it around my way.

2300 as of late. My last 300 were federal AR 223, pretty accurate, I was shooting bowling pins out to 200 open sights, 100% reliable.
Prior to that my freedom batch of 223 reloaded brass was also 100% reliable laying down suppressive fire with my choat mag coupler.

Spent an hour at a local indoor. 200 tulammo. Dirty rifle. No problems.
