I think pairs are neat and I just happened to put the 6.5 and 4 inch pairs together by luck! All of them were in different shipments too!
Enjoy!

I was going to post this separately, but maybe this thread is a better place.

First I want to thank Nathan510 for parting with this absolute pristine nickel 25-14.

Here is my latest pair...

25-14-Pair.jpg

These are Model 25-14's Lew Horton Distributor Specials. .45 ACP / 3" Barrel. They made 250 blued guns and 250 nickel guns. The blued gun is #63 of 250 and the nickel is #243 of 250.

The stocks are Fuzzy Farrant. On the nickel gun they are Cocobola dual checkered panels and dual palm swell. On the blued gun, they are smooth Bacote with dual palm swells.

Adios,

Pizza Bob

Mike:

I just reviewed all the beautiful guns in this thread and I couldn't help but notice that the Roper grips on this pair look an awful lot like the set that Caleb (Sixgunstrumpet) just picked up...

I think that those are the only three sets of Ropers that I have seen with "adornment" above the checkering pattern. Very fun grips.

Hahah, I should have read through this thread before posting in my other roper thread. I knew I had seen them with that flourish before, but but I couldn't find the picture. Thanks for surfacing it!

I guess this counts as a pair now...

Pair of consecutive serial# S&W Model 22-4 Thunder Ranch combat revolvers

I was fortunate to add to my modest collection a pair of 2005 S&W Model 22-4 Thunder Ranch (Limited production nostalgic replica of the "Model 1950 .45 Army" fighting revolver) N-Frame, square butt, deadly serious, no-frills, retro-style, fixed sight, big bore .45 ACP combat revolvers with consecutive serial numbers. The set included the original exotic African Cocobolo "Magna" style checkered diamond stocks with laser-cut "TR" (Thunder Ranch) logo AND an extra set of handsome & good-gripping aged micarta stocks with super cool "old school" look Tyler T-Grip adapter (black). I dig'em!

These guns are not mine but I thought they would fit nicely into this thread plus add a little interesting history.

This great story of these guns was particularly interesting to me in that it indicates that there was at least one other set of Registered Magnums (in addition to my 4.5" Leo Rice RMs pictured in post # 78 above) that shipped from the factory as a special selected matched pair with consecutive registration numbers.
