Post Your WWI and WWII Firearms

Some Lugers, they include early commercial, pre WW1, WW1 army, Weimar era Police and Commercial, WW2 Army, Navy, Police and Commercial(Mauser Banners). All are matching with 90-95% original finish (except for a couple that are finish challenged). I'm a little fish in the sea of serious Luger collectors, have no focus, but try to pick up condition when I come across one and can afford it. Still missing 3 dates from the ww2 era, one of those is prohibitive because of cost, the other 2 because of lacking condition. I haven't sought any of these out, they're just ones that have crossed my path over the last 40 years.

Here's a seldom encountered WWII bring back. The French Unique Coups 9 or model 17 made during the Nazi occupation. It is with it's correct original holster and two magazines. It is 7.65.

The MAPF/Unique pistols are probably the highest-quality Rubys you can find. The "Manufacture d'Armes des Pyrénées Françaises" in Hendaye was located only about 50 miles from Eibar, in the Basque country on the French side of the border, and was actually founded in the 1920s by José Uria and the Arenas brothers, arms makers who had migrated from the Spanish side.

The rough hand-fitting of the WW I period was past, and unlike Eibar the company also escaped the turmoil of the Spanish Civil War, produced through the Nazi occupation, and finally closed in 2001, at least according to the rather sparse Wiki page which only exists in French and the Basque language.

It's kinda cute how they stamped the caliber and the magazine capacity (9 SCHUSS means 9 shots) on the grip panel.

Here's an interesting non typical WWII pistol that was favored by the Nazi SS because of it's caliber of 9MM Kurtz / 380. The CZ 24 was made by the Czechs from 1924 (hence the name) until 1940. They were never restamped for the Nazis and only bear the Czech proofs. This one was made in 1938 and has it's original Czech holster which was modified by the Nazis, along with a second magazine.

Enfields #1

First, a No4 Mk1 built at Fazakerley with non-standard parts (A suffix), rebuilt (FTR) at another factory, Maltby, then rebuilt again at Fazakerley in 1948.

Second, a No4 Mk1* built at Long Branch in Canada, then rebuilt at Fazakerley to Mk1/3 standard in 1953.

Some Enfields #2

First, a No1 MkIII* built at Lithgow in Australia in 1943. It was rebuilt in 1951.

Second is a No4 Mk1 that visited all three UK production facilities at some time in its life. The receiver is a BSA Shirley piece, indicated by M47/C, the completed rifle has a Maltby serial number, implying assembly there, and finally it was converted to Mk2 standard in 1952 at Fazakerley.

Spanish Astra 600 made for Nazi contract with it's original holster. The holster's are harder to find than the guns.

Here's a 1942 S&W Victory US Navy model. It's the only one I have a picture of at the moment

I also have an unmarked 1942 S&W Victory shipped to the United States Maritime Commission 1939 Mauser Luger, a 1895 Nagant pistol dated 1944, a Mosin Nagant M-44 rifle.

From WWI I have a well used Steyr M95 carbine. The story goes with this one that a friend of mine had a great uncle in the Great War who was a U.S. ambulance driver and picked this one up on the side of the road.

1943 Ithaca 1911A1. Only World War II firearm I own. I bought off GB about seven years ago. All original and matching, no arsenal rebuild marks, etc. Assume it was probably a "bring back" as the seller said it came from an estate where he purchased an entire collection of Winchester rifles and two military .45s came with the deal.

Holster is a reproduction one from a company in Texas. Picture included of a WWII KaBar, US Navy MkII.

Here's a another Mauser HSC 7.65 pistol with the harder to find WaA 655 stamp. Some times just the smallest proof stamp can make all the difference to collectors. Thus, one has to be aware of faked guns.

A 1939 Soviet Tokarev with holster and two matching numbered magazines.

A Vietnam bring back. Chinese Tokarev with holster and one matching magazine. It was buried in the ground with a cache of equipment. Appears to have been wrapped in a canvas like material with made the impressions (corrosion) on the gun's finish.

I do have some WW I and WW II revolvers.
This is a Enfield Tanker. A Webley Fosbery. They where also in use by the British Homeguard in WW II. French model 1892 Lebel, Dutch Army revolver model 1873 Officers model, and a Russian Nagant revolver.

Just a Smith and Wesson right after the war S serie. Dull finish. But hey a very reliable revolver.
