Practical shooting gloves?

If you can get around the t-word, I have some of these and they're pretty good:Hatch Specialist All-weather Shooting Duty Glove 1010667, 1010670, 1010668, 1010669, 1010671. Hatch Gloves.

But what I use most when using gloves is a pair of these:
Hatch Dura-Thin Police Search Duty Gloves SG20P 1010473, 1010467, 1010479, 1010480, 1010481. Hatch Gloves.

If you are apt to bang you hands up then the leather offers better protection, but these don't offer any warmth in colder weather.

Whatever you do, don't buy them oversize or you lose any advantage the thinness of the glove offers. HTH

The first ones you linked to look real good. Seems I could use those for cold weather running as well. I was looking at a pair of Under Armour cold gear compression gloves. The ones you listed look to be basically the same for much less.

Painterly I bet those Hulk Hands make it easier to handle your My Little Pony also displayed on that link. lol

Personally I keep a pair of inexpensive Mechanix gloves with me for the times that I find that gloves are needed. Are they tactical? Who the heck cares! They are comfortable and that's all that matters to me.

I have injured myself so many times and had some 3rd degree burns on my Arms and hands, so much that my skin is super thin. My wife claims I can cut myself on toilet paper. (not yet anyway) so I have gloves for lots of purposes. Once I finally gave in to the fact that I like not cutting myself on things, I have searched for gloves that fit. The best fits I have found are with the Mechanix brand gloves, you can get them with extra material, or leather pads for protection. They probably arent the best for a combat situation, but those of us who have or do work on equipment, know how hot or abrasive things can be. When you can get 3 pair for $20 and they dont wear out quickly, I will stay with them. I have some urethane coated gloves that are great for doing chores around our petting zoo of horses, goats and poultry. But as stated before something hot enough will cause them to melt, and they become really sticky, even to skin when they melt.

I have that same problem cutting myself "almost" toilet paper too.

A neighbor of mine was over I the sand pit and lots of guys wearing mechanix gloves or whatever their families sent over. He saw one pair of Blackhawk gloves someone was wearing and not much ose from the looks of them, as it was an officer. :)

I hunt with mechanix gloves as I have to go through brush and hate getting slivers... Yup, I am a wuss. And I used that same pair to work on my brakes the month prior...

Mall ninja **** never lasts long. So, I don't bother... The one exception is UTG sling buckle I adapted to my deer rifle.

I do use a condor 3day pack for carrying out to the stand, as it has very quiet zippers!

If you are going to buy gloves do it right!! Everyone knows to properly shoot you need ULTRA KNUCKLE PROTECTION! lol

Because nothing shouts mall ninja more than this description...

"Those empowered to make decisions also need to feel empowered to act upon them. The M-Pact 3 will give them the confidence to do so."

Better stock up boys!! I sense a run on these comin!!! lol

I use some soft leather work gloves that I got at Sam's Club. I just cut the tip of the trigger finger off. Works for me.

Any recommendations? Reasonable price range? Mall ninja waste of money?

You don't say why you are interested in gloves. Cold weather shooting? Keeping the skin on your thumb when shooting a hot loaded J-frame? Looking cool?

Cold weather shooting (and for running as well), Abrasion protection (again, when the weather is cold and hands are dry and cracked), and grip mostly.

I was going to recommend these:

Cabela's: Cabela's Kangaroo Leather GORE-TEX® / Thinsulate™ Shooting Gloves

Unfortunately, they don't show anything available but small.

They work well for winter hunting and outdoor exercise. I have tried to use them shooting pistols/revolvers and they are NOT optimal for that, being slightly to bulky. But they were perfect for pheasant hunting with a shotgun. I also wear the left one only if I'm doing a lot of shotgun shooting, to protect my hand from barrel heat.

Zip, you are so right, they make my Original 4x gloves seem so outdated. My issue is that as "Sam's Club" I can get 3 packs of the gloves pretty cheaply. Like 3 pair of the originals for around $20.

But you do not have ULTRA KNUCKLE PROTECTION! Lmao

Personally I know a few people I'd like to punch in the face wearing those gloves. lol seriously why hurt my shooting hand. Haha

Mechanix. Who cares about "tatical" or mall ninja. They are comfortable, protect well for thin gloves, have great feel, do not bunch up when you grip. I use them for many things besides shooting and they are really great gloves.

With all the recos I think I'll pick up a few pair. For shooting or otherwise.

I knew I should have bought some tactical Ninja gloves so I could properly grip my Tactical Tomahawk while wearing my Tactical Sneakers, tactical suspenders, tactical t-shirt and tactical Rambo knife in its black plastic tactical sheath on my black tactical Batman utility belt. Man, would that impress the chicks at the mall!

Take a look at the Ultimate Work Gloves @ Duluth Trading Co.
Good tight fits, maintain dexterity, etc.
Good all around gloves.
