Prayer request For my Dad

Update: July 1st 2015 My dad saw his heart doctor and I have good news and bad news.
First the good news.

Overall dad's heart health is good.

Second the bad news he has to back on 2 of his heart medications and up the dosage on one of them.

He also has to continue his aspirin regimen

his heart beat has gotten a little to fast.

He has also gained 6 pounds.

Thank you for your continued prayers and your continued encouragement.
 
The good news is good indeed. The other stuff is just peripheral. Wishing you and your dad all the best. Just put in another word with the man upstairs for you both, Matt.

July 28th 2015: Update I have some news dad saw his heart doctor this afternoon and he is doing better.

His heart beat has slowed down, he still had to take his medication and continue his aspirin regime.

And he has gain 3 pounds.

Thank you for your continued prayer through this awful situation
 
November 7th 2015: Dad saw his heart doctor earlier this week and I have some news. his heart doctor and I have good news and bad news.

first the good news his doctor said that he is getting better but he still has to take his medications and his aspirin regimen.

Now here is the bad news at his next appointment his doctor will discuss with him the possibility of going on blood thinner medication in addition to everything else he is taking.

November 12th 2015: Dad saw his kidney doctor on Tuesday and he is doing better his potassium level was down slightly.

but his doctor put him on some medicine so get it straightened out. and his next appointment is in 4 months.

Thank you for your continued prayers they are very much appreciated.


I have one more thing to add when I started this thread in January 2013 my dad was in really bad shape and on several occasions we thought he was doing to die.

But thanks to a team of good doctors medication your prayers and encouragement he has survived this mess and my family and I thank you for all of that.
 
Happy to hear the good news. Knee-mails work. Whatever the Plan, we all have our own crosses to bear. I have taken a different outlook on life since having been diagnosed with cancer last year. I had the surgery for removal, no trace for six months and now they say it may be back. Whatever, I lived through Vietnam, thirty-plus years of law enforcement and through the other surgeries in life and the most recent one. Whatever is in store, I will walk that road. So, tell your Pa that we all pull for him and that there are others in his shoes. We will all prevail, in our own ways.
 
Update: December 18th 2016 I have some news regarding my fathers health situation and its all bad.

First the heart doctor news: dad has to go back on All of his heart medications and continue his asprin regimen and the dosage has been rasied on all of the medicines.

Now the kidney doctor news Dad has to go back on All of his kidney medications and large amounts of protein have been found in his urine, so he has to raise his water intake.

Please continue to pray for my dad.
 
Wednesday November 1st 2017 update: my dad saw his heart and kidney doctor yesterday.

1st the heart doctor news dad is doing very well and his doctor has changed his aspirin from an 81 milligram to just a regular aspirin.

2nd the kidney doctor news his kidney doctor said that he is doing alright, but their is bad news i'm afraid, their is an excessive amount of protein in his urine, so his doctor put him on another medication and increased the dosage on one he is already taking.


Thank you for all of your prayers and support for my dad during this mess may god continue to bless you.
 
Friday March 23rd 2018 My father say his kidney doctor yesterday and i have some news both good and bad.

First the bad news the doctor has taken dad of 3 of his medications and add another one.

because his body has built a resistance to those 3 medicines and their no longer doing their job so the doctor had to take him off of them and add one as a replacement.

His doctor also gave him a stern lecture about his water intake he is supposed to drink at least 3 bottles of water a day.

But he only drinks one maybe one and a half mom and i have gently reminded him about his water intake but he is very stubborn and hard headed.

But after getting this lecture from the doctor about how important it is to keep up on his water intake he is now going to do better.

Please continue to pray for my dad and thank you for all of your prayers and encouragement.

My dad died in his sleep last night thank you for your prayers during his health situation may God bless you each and every one of you.

Matthew, I am heartbroken to hear this as I know how close you two were and how much love you showed for him here.

My most sorrowful condolences.
