You have my condolences and deepest sympathy at the loss of your dad. I lost my dad 3 1/2 years ago and I still think about him and often hear his words coming out of my mouth. Always remember the good times you had with him.

I lost my father almost 21 years ago when my son was 11 months old... many of us understand what an impact a great person can have on a life... cherish that impact on your life... and try to pass the tradition along... prayers sent for you, your father and the entire group of family and friends...

Thank you all so much for your love, prayers, and well wishes. This was very unexpected and happened so fast. Within 24 hours, my father passed away. He was one of the most honorable men. Helped for years with the Church, made an impact in countless young men's lives as a Boy Scout leader, and when the goings' ever got tough, he lent a sympathetic ear to anyone who needed it or a shoulder to cry on. I was truly blessed to have him as my Dad, role model, teacher, and for the upbringing and values he and Mom taught me. It is a lot to process right now, and I have cried more today than I probably have ever in my life in total. He has passed on and Heaven got a good one. He had a happy life, loving wife, and in the 24 hours that were his last, he was on vacation with my Mom and was very much at peace and joy. When he passed, the sun shined directly on his bed and he was truly at peace and now in a better place.

If you have someone you love, please tell them. We are fortunate in my family to let one another know how much they mean to us and hugs and calls. I know everyone's situation is different, but cherish the here and now.

I know somewhere up in heaven he is asking what the coupon policy is and if they offer a senior discount. Thanks for being the best Dad I could ever hope for.
