Update added at the end.

The husband of one of my wife's friends was wounded today in Pakistan, and two more soldiers were killed. LaGrand was flown to Germany, and they are making plans for his wife to go there to be with him. Please include them in your prayers. Thanks.

Prayers from Texas for his complete recovery. Additional prayers for all our soldiers over there and any standing in harms way.

We will pray for these GREAT AMERICANS!!!! Our prayers go to the family of these and all of the "Amazing Young Americans" protecting our shores. God Bless them and God Bless America....

Vaya Con Dios to all involved and thanks and prayers to all our brave, well trained, volunteer armed forces. If y'all could get them in a fair fight it would be over in short order.

Thoughts and prayers for him and his family. I'm fed up with our servicemen and servicewomen being wounded and killed because of having to fight under politically correct rules of engagement. Let's take the gloves off or get out of there.

Thought I'd share an update I got. He's lost both legs above the knees. He's been taken to San Antonio; they couldn't land the plane in VA. Here's what the update said:

"Legrand’s Trauma: Carrie has spent the past 24 hours praying and singing over Legrand. In that time, she has become more aware of just how broken his body is and the constant care his injuries require at this time. He is currently running a fever of 102. The medical staff periodically and incrementally reduces his medication in order to determine his level of pain sensitivity. He does respond in ways that tells them he is in pain. He also sheds tears in response to singing which I trust is a sign that his heart is with us in the fight. These are good signs even though they are also indicative of the suffering our brother has endured for a week now. In part, that suffering comes from abdominal injuries, a dislocated jaw, a broken pelvis, fractures in his spine, and injuries to his legs and head. Remarkably, his arms appear to be free of injury.

Legrand’s Treatment: He continues to undergo surgery daily. Today he is scheduled to have additional surgery for abdominal repair. Tomorrow he will undergo additional surgery on his legs (it’s a process). On Thursday, they will continue to work on repairing his jaw. The road will be long and difficult. But Carrie sees that he is in a great facility for the care his injuries require and feels that he is receiving the best of care, both medically and spiritually. She is at peace with that. And for that we are most grateful.

Legrand’s Trust: Long before Legrand enlisted in the Army, put on the uniform, and set out to serve his country, he placed his trust in the Almighty! His trust has never wavered and the Almighty is with Him still today! As his Family sharing in that trust, we join him in this fight! We stand with him; firm in the faith, and constant in prayer. We have been called to duty. And we will answer the call! Amen?"

Thanks for the prayers, and please keep them coming.

What a heartbreaking story. I do pray that he recovers and that this war ends soon. Our children need to come home so these tragedies stop.

I'm so done with this war.
