My 62 year old wife of 26 years has just been told she has Non Hodgkin Lymphoma. They have a few more test to do but it looks like she will be starting radiation treatment for 5 days a week for 3 weeks.

I'd like to ask you all for prayers for her .I'll do my best to support her through this ordeal.

I know you all are a great bunch of caring people so thanks in advance.

Depending on numerous factors, survival rates are fairly high for NHL if caught early. And cancer treatments today are far better than even 5 years ago. Hopefully your wife's diagnosis was done early.

My wife got back from her oncologist today with a verdict of complete remission from lung cancer. Her surgery was exactly two years ago today. She lost most of her left lung, but her cancer was diagnosed before it had metastasized. She went through considerable radiation therapy but it worked. I know where you are coming from as I was there. Hopefully your wife's condition is not advanced very far.

We were fortunate in having access to first-rate cancer treatment locally (at the UT Health Sciences Center), and I hope your wife does also.

Dwalt my wife has had a wart on her nose for several years now . But in the last year it started growing .She went and had a biopsy a few months ago and they told her it was not cancer but in the last few months it has grown back even bigger. She has seen several doctors sense then at UConn medical cancer center {supposed to be very good} .
Now they are telling her it is NHL. So now more testing, radiation and once it shrinks removal surgery.
I'm praying for the best as just 2 years ago she lost a sister to lung cancer in less than a year.

And prayers from here, too, Bob. He hears all prayers and has your wife in the palm of His merciful hand.
This picture gives me a lot of comfort:

prayers sent from the waiting room at the Buffet Cancer Center at the University of Nebraska Medical Center... waiting for blood draw and CT Scan... confirming No Evidence of Disease... I am a 2 time cancer survivor.... 2 rounds of chemo... 2 major surgeries... 9 weeks of radiation 5 times a week... it does work... positive attitude and loving support help the most... you got this...

Peace be with you and your family. I will dust off my story of a friend's father who was diagnosed 3 times with terminal, inoperable cancer and sent home to die within three months starting in his mid fifties - he died (after surviving his younger healthy wife) in his eighties in a wreck in his convertible with his 40 year old girlfriend. It ain't over until it is over.
