My good friend and forum member biginge has been fighting a tough battle with cancer (lung and liver) for more than a year now. Apparently, the lung cancer is in remission, but the liver not yet. Bill will be entering the hospital on Monday the 19th, to have 40% of his liver removed. His care team is optimistic but are advising a minimum of four weeks recovery.

I know Bill would appreciate everyone’s good thoughts and prayers.

Here is the prayer I offer those whose lives are in danger. It is one of the prayers that chaplains say over the wounded. When there was no chaplain a grunt said it once t3 fight was over.

“Merciful and generous father of life and health, we ask you to bless and to heal our brother that he may be restored to full health and to Your glory.”

I will say the prayer for Bill tonight when I do my prayers for the day.
