Could my 1953 K22 revolver be converted to .32 H&R magnum by re-boring the chambers, re-boring and rifling the barrel, and then setting the firing pin for centerfire?

Pre Model 18's have an internal firing pin for rimfire 22lrs.
The K32's were centerfire frames like the 38.

I am not a gunsmith but would think it would be easier to convert a K38 by replacing the cylinder and barrel,

I have seen people convert Model 19 barrels to .22lr by turning down a rifle barrel on a lathe then inserting it the 38 bore ,
A .32 insert might be pretty thin to insert in a 38 bore.

I would take a k38 and barrel/cylinder from a k22 and have the barrel/cylinder bored out and then installed on the k38.

Good luck with your project. Let us see the finished gun and a range report. In fact let us know if you send it to Andy. My 32 will have "Horvath special" on it when done. Larry
