Pre-39 box

Was watching the sale of a pre-39 box, just the the box go for $360+! I was up in the bleachers, not on the field or side lines.
The box had 8 red corner staples, odd and Sn. 1442 on the bottom. If the box was bought by a Forum member, I hope he knows what gun was shipped in that box. If not, pls. PM me.

My pre 39 is SN #1644 shipped July 1956.
I wouldn't be shocked by red box corners since SW used up stuff they had in stock.
On a side note while it was crazy years ago $350 seems like a bargain compared to what a 1956 .44 Magnum box might be valued at.

Hello Mr. Brad. I had just never seen a blue box with red corner staples.
Funny you should mention old 44 Mag boxes. I have a 4" box out in the shop I keep old rusty bolts and nuts in. I think there were some weird little screw drivers in the box. OH! silly me. You know how old people get.
