2, one handgun and one shotgun. I have 4 loaded mags each for two seperate rifles, an AR and a 9mm AR. Those are in the safe.

Percentage? That's funny. Not even 8% if my math is right. That's wholly different from a "number". The person with 1 gun could be at 100%. I keep 1 available. Everywhere.

Sometimes only the Two I carry. Sometimes several. If I'm not carrying the loaded guns, they are in a Safe. My shot gun is hanging in a hidden place.

Three. Two semi-automatic pistols and one semi-automatic rifle.

Plus a 2nd unloaded rifle (it's an old bolt action) ready as an emergency backup. I have 4 clips (yes, clips) loaded so this rifle can be loaded fairly quickly.

Where they are in the house and how they are secured depends on the time of day, whether we are home (and what I carried or have with me in the car), and whether we have company.

Well all defensive firearms in my house are loaded, the ones sleeping in the safe are not. Figure two for me and two for Mrs Lakesider!

All but two, a single shot Thompson Center and the 12.7 x 42 ar (I don't consider defensive until its reliability is proven).
