No kids in the house. I keep one on my person, loaded. The rest are all locked up. However, of the ones in the safe, one or two may be loaded, and marked as such, not so much for readiness as because I don't like loading/unloading in the house. Too hard to find a direction to point that thing where I really wouldn't care if it discharged. I think I need more televisions.

Or, you could carry a revolver like I do. Not much loading/unloading danger there.

I have several loaded magazines and speed loaders for most all of firearms.

As most here know, I have three grandkids under roof so the only gun that stays loaded is either the one on me or the one pulling nightstand duty.

All my guns are loaded. That's how I treat them.

That's exactly what I do, and why. The sand bucket is also a good idea.

So that if I unexpectedly get run over by a bus, my heirs, most of whom are not gun people, will treat those guns as "icky, better get a gun nut to handle these."

Less than 10 percent.

Percentage? That's funny. Not even 8% if my math is right. That's wholly different from a "number". The person with 1 gun could be at 100%. I keep 1 available. Everywhere.

Enough that if someone starts kicking the door I won't have to run far to get one.
I also keep one j frame loaded in the safe. Top pocket hanging on the door. Thought if I was ever forced to open the safe I might have just one more chance....
