What adhesive is everyone using to place pressure switches on grips. I am thinking a good adhesive applied to both sides of strip Velcro...but what adhesive?

Thanks.

Mike

------- Mike, I changed the Title. "Question" isn't specific enough to let folks know what the thread subject is.

I have a Magpul AFG. The way I use it puts my thumb between the top rail and the 9. So... i just slipped my tape switch (it's rather wide) between the rails and use a couple Larue clips with wire guides to keep it in place. No tape, no Velcro. Perfect position.

those black rubber band thingys work pretty well

Thanks, those larou clips look cool, thanks for the advice.

I've always used the peel and stick velcro (Lowe's). It works well.

How about a close up picture of your installation, Phil? I've been wondering where/how to mount a switch when using my AFG. Thanks

Here is my setup with an AFG.

Wire routed under Magpul XTM rail covers, then hooked into one Larue Index Clip (there are a few in each pack for hooking wires) . Then wedged between 9 & 12 rails with 2 more index clips. Very secure but easy on and off rifle if needed. Most importantly, the switch is in the exact position where my thumb is while using the AFG grip and is perfect for easy on/off working of the tape switch. The switch position doesn't change the grip or rifle profile as many tape switch positions do. I had thought about using Velcro for a 100% clean look, but I had a couple Larue Clips laying around and since they work I just left it like that rather than dealing with adhesives on the back of Velcro.

Note: I was initially disappointed with the feel of the Laserlyte Kryptonyte pressure switch. However, by positioning it right over a hole in the handgaurd it feels perfect now.

man that was a sad day when that laser replaced the tacticandle:p

No no.... I specifically purchased the Laserlyte Kryptonyte so that the Tacticandle could operate on the top rail with the laser beam just sliding by the waxy edge. Just looking for the right Tacticandle mount ;) :D:D:D
