Friends, I have spotted a M14-2 in 38sp of course.
Is $500 too much to pay? It is in what I would say is excellent condition.
Slight bluing wear on the muzzle. Faint cylinder ring. Thanks.
I have one already but it is in poor condition cosmetically.

I think that it is slightly on the high side. Could you talk them down a little? I won a 14-3 on Gun Broker approx. 2 weeks ago. It is BEAUTIFUL! Was $410 shipped with insurance. No blue wear. I did not get box, or extras, but no big deal to me. There have been some very nice examples there at decent prices. There are some are at $700 also. Let us know how you make out! Bob

Well at the time I did ask if they had any wiggle room on the price but got a GTFO sort of response. Shop is a small mom and pop type. The guy part of it is one of our areas NRA friends of the NRA liaison. In this area of the country, I don't see used Smiths for sale......ever
Even at that price, if I didn't have an old beater m14 aready, I would have bought it.

If you paid $500, the value will (should) go up over time. For whatever reason on G.B. there seem to be nice examples at very reasonable prices. (timing, I guess) Bob

I didn't buy it but was sorely tempted. I have a vehicle in the dealers getting looked at and need to save a few $$ for that. Or I may have caved.
Month ago I bought a m10 from a one eyed greasy hippy for $300 and it was in I fix em shape.
I have bought the majority of my m10s off of there and auction arms and there can definitely be a timing thing.
