Looked at a very nice 17 no dash didn't look at it extensively but it has correct "didn't take the grips off"diamond magnas in excellent shape. No dry fire hits on the cylinder. Only issues I could see was the trigger has 2 slight marks from a trigger shoe and the trigger guard screw appears to have been turned. The guy wanted $600 I offered $500 and he agreed. I just have to wait for a pistol permit, B.S. NJ gun law. Seems like a good deal to me.

Sounds like a deal to me. I paid $700.00 for this Model 17 no dash last year. Looks to have been shot or carried very little as a faint turn line and the finish/grips are very nice. Brian

Very nice I have an early 17-2 with those same diamond target, i think they were a replacement as the trigger and hammer are not targets so I assumed it came from the factory with magnas.

If "only issues" means that the condition of the bright blue finish is good, with no extensive wear in the finish and no pitting, and the SN in side the grip matches, then you did very, very well. I watch these auctions every day, and while a nice "no dash" gun isn't exactly scarce out there, they aren't falling out of trees either. I bought one fairly recently for $750. It was billed as "unfired" (it wasn't) and 99% (it is a solid 98% gun) both of which conditions were exactly what I expected. It didn't come with any of the goodies. In today's world I am very satisfied with that buy and I'd do it again all day long.

I agree with the other feedback your getting. I think you did very well.
