Looks like original magna stocks. Blueing solid overall, I'd say 90% or more. No visible corrosion. Front bauman has a red insert. The .5" TT has been radiused and all grooves polished off for DA use. Timing is right on the ragged edge of needing a tune-up. Carry-up barely clicks into place before hammer fall. If I add a little drag from my thumb, a couple of chambers don't make it.
They have it tagged at 1k. ? ? ?

I agree that is a more than fair price. I personally like the smooth faced trigger on a revolver and would leave it that way and to have the timing set would only be around $50 or $60 in my area (Clark Custom Guns). I would not hesitant to get it quickly at that price. Good luck.

The only thing that bothers me a little is the subjective 90% condition. That means to me quite a lot of blue loss; barrel from holster wear, high points on cylinder and frame and possibly more. I happily paid $1k for a 4 inch 29-2 also with a "smoothed" trigger but its in 98% or so condition. I might still pay that for the 27-2 described but I'd have to see it first. I'd for sure try to negotiate down from the tagged price. Good luck.

Agree...pretty good price for a nice 3-1/2" Model 27-2. Appraisals are difficult without decent photos, but $1K is OK for just about any vintage N-frame revolver. I've got a couple of 3-1/2" 27-2s and I really like them. The first one has had a trigger job. If there is a little wear and maybe a tune-up needed on the one you're looking at, you may get out the door for less with a little negotiating! Good luck.

Are you looking for this model configuration or just happened to come across it? Blue wear and potential timing issues signal to me that you have found a well used gun. My thoughts are the asking price is a couple hundred too high. At a grand, wonder if buyers remorse will set in?

No, I'm not looking for it. I just rarely come across them at an LGS. See 'em at the funshows all the time...big money, LOL. What with the wear and mod/s, I was curious. Thanks again. :D
