Very clean,6 inch barrel.Doesn't look like it's been fired much.Locks up vault tight.Target stocks, box and paperwork.ACN prefix on the serial#,I couldn't find that in the SCSW.I'm sure that I wrote it down right,it was on frame and box. Thanks for any help.

A couple of years ago, I would have guessed maybe $400. These days, it could be upwards of $650 if it's choice. The 66's are really sweet and they get a premium these days. Gunsamerica is a good place to check for current pricing on used SW's.

I think $550 would be tops for a 2", 4" or 6", while a 3" M66 as you described could bring $650 plus. PEN

66

I too have a 3" Model 66, tuned and ported. I bought it about 10 years ago for $300. It's about as smooth as anything I've seen or owned. It's the one I'm taking with me when I go to the Big Range in the Sky!

Sam ,the ACN prefix was produced during 1983. Making the one you're looking at an early 66-2.
The 6" barreled K magnums are the least popular, and the slowest sellers.

You would be hard pressed to find a finer shooting gun, but the rage these days are shorter barrels.

I followed an early 6" mod 66 through a couple of shows. The guy had a holster, a box of 357 ammo, and original wood grips. The shooter grade gun finally sold for $325,00

Personally ,for the gun you describe I would'nt pay more than $450. to $500.

Hope this helps, Best of luck ,,,AllenFrame
