S&W 340 PD (USED) $515 out the door..

Is the 340PD the best pocket carry revolver in their line up..

Should I jump on it or get a 422 new...

Looking for a pocket carry for the summer...

Any feedback and insight would be greatly appreciate..

I have the S&W 340PD, on hold just trying to get off the fence..

What would you do..

in my humble opinion, the 340pd is the ultimate carry revolver. mine is from 2001, and has been flawless. i carry 158 grain fed h-s, now, but have tried several different loads.

recoil will get your attention! but, i honestly don't think it is as bad as lots of folks say.

it is very easy to carry such a light, small gun.

it is not meant to be a plinking range-blaster!

it is a LIGHT, concealable, personal defense weapon, chambered in arguably the most efficient cartridge ever developed.

515.00 is a good price, as long as it is clean. you will just have to determine if it is worth the extra cabbage over the 442. i saw 442s at a recent g-s for 369.00, and have heard of them in the 349.00 range. basically the same configuration, with a couple extra ounces. oh, and the 38/357 thing!

if the gun for 515.00 is clean, personally, i would jump in!
