Hey all,

Got someone asking me to figure out the value of their 10-6 with serial number C823xxx. Claims it has been used minimally (I have not personally seen it). Looks like it has a 4 in barrel and original stocks. Hopefully the pictures come through. Thanks for any and all help.

Aloha,

It is a very nice looking 10. Most of them don't look that good. I don't want to give a value, as it varies throughout the country. The one thing that I would say is that - wouldn't mind one like it. I am sure somebody will give you the info you really wanted. Bob

Does it come with anything other than just the revolver? As is, I would be willing to pay $350 and possibly up to $425. You will want to consider if there are any transfer fees and if there is sales tax and if so the sales tax rate. With no other cost, I think it would be worth the upper dollar range I mentioned.

Seven years ago I paid 300.00 for one that was not as pretty as the one you posted. I would think you could get 425.00 with no problem.

If the finish and the stocks are original and look as good in person as they do in the pictures, and it's mechanically similarly fresh, then gun alone can and does fetch upwards of $500 or a little over in today's market, though average is probably closer to $450.

In NRA "excellent" to "perfect" condition 10-6 with box, tools and all docs -- as in a collectible quality complete package -- I've seen go for a little over $650, and it wasn't a bidding frenzy; I think that's the new normal.

Quality shooter HB 10s sit squarely in the $350 to $400 range now.

I can't add anything to the price ranges already posted. I would be a buyer for one that nice at a sensible price.

I have a great shooting M10-6 that was close to like-new when I bought it (after a good cleaning). I just never have been able to warm up to nickel though. So I have been on the lookout for an equal condition blued version.

I paid $330 for one about a year ago in (close, but) not as good a condition as that one. And I felt like I had made a good deal.

One thing:
In the pictures, the revolver appears to be loaded. Standard safety procedure would be to unload it for picture taking.

You can't be too safe!

Hey all, thanks for the replies! I sent him a link to this thread.
