Pricing a 29-2 6 1/2"

They start at $1000 and go up from there.

$900 is a fair deal.

I have this 6" 29-2 no box, no papers, but with the Kuracs on it, I would not take less than $1300 for this set up, plus the original grips.

By the way, the more I look at it, I personally think the 6" barrel looks a little better proportionally than the 6.5" barrel.

They are both awesome though.

From what I've seen around here and what I've paid for similar specimens, 900 is just "another day at the office."

Really? I must be looking in the wrong place. I haven't seen a 6.5 29-2 in a long time for sale

I don't want to put words in stmry's mouth, but I think he meant $900 is just an average price to acquire the gun, not that a 6.5 29-2 is an easy find. Nice gun, BTW. You haven't bought it yet?!!!!!

I watched a 29-2 nickel with 6.5" barrel sell for $1500 on GB two weeks ago. $900 is a damn good price for a nickel 29-2.

Here is my 29-2 in nickel. It sports a pair of Eagle grips shown with another pair I picked up at the gun show for very little pocket change essentially. Based on my yardstick measurements mine is a 6 inch. But really looks like a 5.75 lol.

That gun is worth a minimum of $ 1,000 , and probably closer to $ 1,200.
I don't even think $ 1,300 would be out of line.

If you have not bought it by now , you must not really be wanting a real nice 6 1/2" nickel 29-2 . You will be hard pressed to find one better for less money .

Went and picked it up today. It is in fact a 6" in fantastic shape with a slight turn ring. Grips are perfect. I'll get some pictures up tonight with its 8 3/8" brother.

Thanks again for the help!

Seems like a good price to me. I got a 29-2, blued, 6.5" with a couple of small scratches on the barrel, last year for $850 and was darn glad to snap it up at that price.
