For those that need small pistol primers, MidwayUSA has Federal #200 small pistol magnum primers for $89 ——— yes they’re on sale for $89. One per customer.

At least they’re becoming available more often and at a $10 discount.

If that price doesn't include the hazmat and shipping fees then it probably brings the total to around $120 (mol).

Actually Shipping, Hazmat, and Sales Tax. All for one, single, measly box. Good news for me is that after Sandy Hooked I built up a stash of primers large enough my heirs will have to sort them out.

The local Academy had primers last week for $7.99/100 ($7.20/100 w/mil discount) plus tax with a limit of 4 boxes. Considering these same primers were $2.99/100 pre-Covid and I'm still loading primers I bought in the 'way back when' for $1.19/100 it's still too bloody expensive unless you are desperate.

I have a pretty good stash but I’m adding primers to keep my stockpile up and figuring this is as cheap as they’re going to be. When I bought three bricks of LPP Federal Gold Medal primers for $45/1000 I thought it was outrageous but now they’re around $125 so I’m adding little by little to keep the stock up because who knows if they’ll be $200 or more in a few years, or months or if they’ll even be available. Thirty years ago I think I was paying $10 or just a little more per brick. Who would have guessed.

I ordered a brick tonight but needed some Accurate #2 so I added a few cans which made the hasmat fee a little more palatable. If I could find powder locally I’d spend more on gas than the hasmat fee and shipping and I’d have to drive an hour and a half to two hours to get it. I’m ok with a few dollars extra to have it delivered to my door.

When are dealers and distributors going to STOP price gouging on primers and start being fair business people and sell at MSRP?

An anarchistic term for Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price. The FTC outlawed it in the 80's or 90's!

I’m aware of what msrp stands for but I’ve not seen anything indicating what the price actually should be. What is the retail price set by the manufacturer. I’m aware of what I used to buy them for but that’s pre pandemic inflation and blm. We used to pay a lot less for a lot of things but those days are gone.

I'd never heard anything about MSRP being outlawed. It's still used in the auto industry and a lot of others.
