Primers

There are no SPP anywhere locally but I think I'll be alright depending upon how long this self-induced panic buying lasts.

Today's story - I stopped by a gun shop in a nearby town (I drive through it about once a month) just to see what's going on. Last month, it was selling primers (all sizes) for $32/1000. Today they are priced at $45/1000 (about a 50% increase). It did have several thousand in small pistol and somewhat more in other sizes. I didn't buy any, as I already have a pretty good supply.

I picked up a box of 1000 older CCI on RCBS strips at a gun show last week for $12. Guy must have thought they were old & going bad. I don't know how they lasted on the table till I got there late. I like finds like that.

Let me know if your in north Mississippi. I know someone who has small pistol primers.

Come to think of it my hoard from the Clinton Era is low on Large Rifle Magnum. Just remembered, I do not have a magnum rifle. Two of those bricks have $11.75 price tags on them.

Scored 5K today at local gun show. The ticket line was unbelievable !

I was in a LGS yesterday that was well stocked with primers and powder. They do request a limit of 2,000 primers per person and 2lbs. of powder.

Some sites like midwayusa.com you can back order or ask for email notification when they come in but it is a bad time to be looking for supplies. I order from midsouth .Im stocked up for about a year so i hope to drought doesn't last extraordinarily long. I try to do my online ordering together to save on shipping and hazmat fees. i.e primers , powder, lube, etc.
Gl and have fun

I stopped at the LGS on my way home from work, only to find that they were out of small rifle primers. Anticipating that possibility, plan B was to pick up a box of .38 LSWC for my default .38 Special load. They were out of them too. There was about 4K each of small pistol, large pistol and a small assortment of "match grade" primers. I also checked once fired .223 brass and the 5 gallon bucket was empty. Here we go again...
