Good buy! I wish I could find them and at $47.00 too. Locally, they are running at $99/1K - if you can find them. Midway prices them at $75/1K but has no stock.

Yea, you got a Deal, Deal. Looked at the last 1000 box bought couple years ago, $39.99. Don't remember where bought. Been checking Academy here and none seen, they keep most " high demand" items behind the counter now.

That's a lot of money but if you need them you have little choice. I'm lucky enough to still have a good supply.

Good luck everyone, hope you find what you need...

Shooting is becoming a Rich Man's sport. I'm too old to keep up and hate to drop out but feel I'm being forced to.

Last I paid for Federal GMM SP primers was $45 out the door right before the spring of 2020 and I expect somewhere around $50 or less per K to be the new normal when and if things get back to normal. The LGS I buy from is run by a nice couple that has never gouged their customers regardless of what everyone else was doing and I have enough on hand to last me awhile at my current rate of shooting to wait it out and see.

The price of copper and other metals needed for ammo is way up because the demand for ammo and reloading supplies is way up. As supplies of ammo and components catch up with demand, prices of raw materials should stabilize as well. We'll see what other factors may enter in.

A friend of mine just found 2000 SPP at Sportsman's Warehouse and snagged them for me. They only charged $37 per 1000. I would have paid $47 the way things are right now. It was nice to see they were charging a "regular" price and not gouging.

I got 1000 WSP for $110 a couple of weeks ago at a small show in MT. That was high, but they were needed, and it was the best price I had seen in a long time. Recently found 1000 WLP for $200 plus hazmat/etc. No thanks.

Just back from a living estate auction with many guns and some components. Just stuck around long enough to see primers sell; Large rifle or pistol went around $55/1000, small pistol or rifle went $68/1000 tops. There were the guns show scalpers there and they never went much above $50/1000 on their bids. Maybe. just maybe, the prices are getting back closer to where they should be.

the post about winchester saying the shortage will last for 2 yrs, I believe they want you to believe it so people continue to pay these prices.

I've not seen any primers on any store shelves around here in months with one exception. That shop had a couple of boxes of 1000 primers in sleeves of 100 that they opened and put on the shelf with a limit of 2 sleeves of 100 primers per customer for $6 a box. Bought 2. Local private sales at gun shows and on line are asking $125-$225 per 1000, but aren't moving at those prices.
