My problem is a loaded magazine won't lock into my M&P Sport 15 with the bolt forward. An unloaded mag will, a loaded mag with the bolt locked to the rear will, just not loaded and the bolt forward. This is more of a problem with the PMag 10 round that is blocked to 5 round that came with the rifle. But is also the same but a little less of a problem with my Spearmag 7 round. The Spear 30 round seems not to have a problem. What could be going on here?

you are probably fighting the magazine spring - dont be afraid to give it a good smack with the palm of your hand to make sure it locks

Normal. When 30 rd. mags first came out it was common to load the old aluminum mags with 28 rounds because of the problem you are having. Jamming was common when the first round fed out of a fully loaded 30 rd mag if you could get them to lock in place.

i had this problem to until i noticed my ammo was kinda being pushed out to far by the spring like the outher fellow said just give it a good smack make sure your ammo in your magazine is in level and right and your magazine should slide in and u should hear a click when u press on the magazine to lock it in if this doesnt work then something is wrong with your clip or ammo because its not the gun because u said it locks in when the magazine is empty i also had a problem putting my safety on unless my bolt was cocked

Thanks guys. Problem solved when I put one less round in each mag. Unfortunately the solution means that a low capacity mag is now even smaller. Guess it's time to buy a 10 (9) round mag.
