Problem S&W 1500

Have a probably 90s S&W 1500 in 25-06. When carrying the gun with bolt turned toward body, it will bang against me and pop open and drop down. I though most bolt stayed locked in place when cocked and saftey on. thanks for any help.

My Rem. 700 does this, my Savage does not. It is normal for some bolt guns, but it's a nuisance.
