Problem with 686+

My new 686+ with .38 Special. Half of them didn't fire. But when I shot .357 mag, everything was fine.
So I checked the fire pin and compared it with Ruger LCR. Looks like SW's fire pin top is concave and has sharp edge. Ruger's fire pin top is round and smooth. Feels like SW's fire pin was broke.

I'm certainly no gun smith, but, that firing pin looks damaged to me.

It's a brand new gun and first shot. I don't remember what's the fire pin looks like before shot.

Found original tested shell came with the gun. The shape of the dent on the primer matches the concave firing pin profile. So the gun is like this since brand new. Is this microstamping firing pin?
