ProMag 32 Round Magazines

Hey guys.......an update. It appears I may have been using.... " old " ..... ammo. This was pointed out to me by some guy I know. ( wink wink )....It appears some random cartridges didnt have the same action, or reaction, as others of the same batch. Also, I loaded the S&W magazines a bit more careful, using the follower after each cartridge load. All 3 magazines worked flawless when a newer box of ammo was used, including the 32 rd promag. Also, the 2 S&W magazines had lubricant from the night before, without negative effect...............With that said, do any of you have any experience with making a slidfire work on a 15/22 specifically ?.............

glad to hear you got it all figured out.

there are a few owners who use the slidefire and love it. i believe theres a revised edition as the first didnt fit so well so make sure you get the right one. it also requires a lighter 3-4 lb trigger in order to work.

Hey guys,in your opinion, in regards to the Slidefire, does it get " old " after awhile ?............ I used a 9mm AR15 with the slidefire recently from some guy I know ( wink wink ). It was kewl, but rather expensive in regards to the price of 9mm compared to 22lr. 30 round magazines went quite quickly. And, other than fending off zombies or large mutants, it seems somewhat impractical and wasteful, but no doubt fun.

I don't even have one and it's "old".

It's just not for me. "Fully auto" is overrated IMO.

It would be cool to shoot someone elses once, but after that I would be over it. That's just me though. I have tons of fun slaying gophers.

This. I have no desire to own a full auto gun, I prefer to make all my shots count. I have a friend who owns multiple FA capable guns and lots of silenced ones as well. I am tempted to get a silencer in the near future as my funds allow.

There was a full-auto .22LR back in the 70s. It was the American 180 and was built on the Thompson pattern. Our local LE office had a couple and I put a few drums-full through them over a few months. Also had friends in a big city department's SWAT teams and got to shoot their full-auto Uzis.

It was the kind of thing, to me, that's fun a couple of times but the novelty soon wore off - especially when I am buying the ammo. To each his own weirdness, but I'll pass. Too many other things to spend the cost of the SlideFire on - like more magazines and ammo, or even another 15-22 for my grandson. :)

That's the way I feel about it too. Our local gun shop allowed people to shoot a full auto tripod mounted machine gun, for a fee. That's fun. And I'd put a mag or three through someone else's SlideFire or other auto available. Even if I HAD a full auto, I might SHOW it to people, just to show off. But just every day shooting, like I like to do, would not be with an auto.

I can't see buying a slide fire for my 15-22. I didn't really care to fire the M-16 full auto many years ago.

My rifle sees dual duty - for targets and small game and I rarely fill the 25 round magazines.

Back to life!!!

Let's get some more reviews since y'all should have some more (thousands) of rounds through these mags! :)

Love to give a review, but still no delivery on my ProMags direct from ProMag...shows "processing".

I ordered four of them and used them for steel challenge today. I didn't have a single issue with them. In fact, they worked just as well as my factory mags. It was nice to be able to shoot each stage with just one mag and have plenty left over.
Ditto here also. Ran my club's Speed Steel match with nary a hitch. Worked so well I sold 2 of my unused supply of 25s to a friends daughter that had a new 15-22 and only one mag as everyone is sold out. Wish I had ordered more than 2 Promags.
