Propane Sticker Shock!

Just had my tank filled...1st time since last spring and it was $2.71 a gallon. When crude hit $150 a barrel a couple years back.. propane here never hit $2.00 a gallon. Reg unleaded gas is $2.69....why the run-up on propane??

I bought a wood pellet/corn stove about 7 years ago have not looked back yet.I spend about $600-$650 bucks a year to heat my 1700 sq.ft.house.I bought my own propane tank(500 gal.) a few years back and have it filled once a year(mid-summer)I paid $1.35 gal this past summer for a fill up.coobie

why the run-up on propane

or oil or gas?

the answer is..because they can.

Gas is over $3/gal here and home oil is over $3.50

At my hunt camp in North Florida I just paid $3.60 a gallon.

My 500gal pig was topped off today. 309gal @ $2.45/gal.

Better than I expected.

Sort of makes up for filling up my car in OH on Monday @ $3.09/Gal for mid-grade when it was $3.05 on this side of the river. It's usually a few cents cheaper over there.
