Proper picture of Prince Harry

Whether by choice, family pressure, or moral obligation, Harry has served honorably in a military capacity that is far removed from being positioned safely in the rear. He's a fine young man ... so he had a fun time in Vegas, big deal. Doesn't everyone?

And I promise, no billiard balls jokes. That would be too hard on everyone.

rim shot here...........

All the other ex-pats that I know in Las Vegas all grinned about this, saying something along the lines of "That's our boy!" While he may be third in line to the throne, he is also young, single, serving in the army and visiting Las Vegas. Talk about Doh!

Prince Harry says he was a 'Taliban target' - YouTube

Here he is in his prior deployment to Afghanistan. Note the Browning 9mm in his vest. He is quite candid about being a known Taliban target, but took that in stride.

Here he has a go at the Taliban with a machinegun and talks more about his then-duties as a forward air controller, prior to qualifying as an assault helicopter pilot. Note the rifle on his wall and that he wears his 9mm about knee height in the scenes where he is walking out of his shelter. I think it'd be more comfortable worn higher up. But he's never asked me...

His brother, Prince William, rescued someone this week with his RAF 'copter. Wm. flies rescue choppers; Harry opted for Army combat models. Both are fully competent serving officers.

BTW, did anyone else notice that neither brother wore a sword at William's wedding? Other officers present did. I wish they had.

At least he shows he has a human side , not the droll , dull , stuffed shirt of the typical 'royal'.

But he'll probably forever be treated like a red-headed step-child!

Every time I look at those boys, I get a great sense of pride for our British cousins. They could so easily have been right next to Paris or Lindsay in the print rags. But instead, they grew up right and tall.

BTW, when I was in the Navy, we went to Subic Bay, Pattaya Thailand, and even a place called Tijuana. I'm sure glad everyone didn't carry movie cameras in their pockets.

Let him have some fun. Didn't look like he forced anyone to be there.

I thought "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas"... WHOA... so much for that advertising campaign!!!!! Anyone who serves in any civilized military and risks their lives for the common good and is single has earned the right to let loose once in a while, IMHO.

Don't judge them all by Prince Charles. Andrew has quite a reputation as a party animal. He was once linked to the actress Koo Stark, lucky devil. Rumour has it that he and Sarah Ferguson have been caught swapping spit when chance brings them together. That's redheads for you.:)

Prince Edward also kicked over the traces, telling his father to take a hike over leaving the military. He is now a historian and occasional broadcaster.

+1 to all, he's young, single, and on his way to a combat assignment, live it up young man! I'm happy to see how normal he is despite his upbringing and heritage, heck, I'd have a beer with him!

The American privileged youth should be embarrassed. Military service or some type of service to our country should be mandatory after High School or College. R&R rocks. Right now our Vets and active duty troops are treated okay. I can tell you stories about what it was like in the late 60's.
Forgive them for they know not what the do. Screw that, just a knee to the groin. And a big kiss for the girls so they know what a real man is like.;)

Give the lad his due. He's a combat veteran, and has volunteered to go back in an extremely dangerous capacity. He's young, single, footloose and has earned the right to party now and then. You go, Harry! Britain needs more like ya, mate!
