What is the proper nonemclature or term for the pick-up bar/rib on the bottom of the slide that feeds the next round into the chamber? (pistol)
Thanks,

Why was the stripper rail's front bevel enlarged on later 1006s? I always assumed it was because FBI load recoil didn't reliably move the slide far enough. Is that a good guess?

I am reminded of a young bachelor mechanic who arrived at the range all excited about the previous evening's visit to "the other rail" with co-workers he assembled jet liners with. He exclaimed "She had so much silicone installed you couldn't squeeze a .003" shim stock down her cleavage!"

At first, a stripper pole in the living room sounds great.
That is, until you get old. Imagine the grandkids' faces when they walk in the front door and see grandma workin' that pole.
Kinda like tattoos. What looks great on you at 20 doesn't look good on you at 80.

Anyhoo, I never knew there was nomenclature for it. I just thought of it as the underside of the slide.
Maybe I should take an armorer's course.
