Proposed bulk ammo ban

We have the power to renounce political parties, but nobody uses it.

True. But in the 21st century elections are like an "old West" saloon poker game. "We" walk in take the open chair at the table. Immediately the folks sitting there start to win until "we" are cleaned out. "Wait!!!, they cheated!!!" Yeah, PROVE IT sod buster, now hit the road!" Game goes on as before. Joe

WE ARE FREE to chose not to buy into a game where WE are clearly being whipsawed, If we simply refuse to play their game, and chose another, their GAME would be over and done with. Instead we allow them them to divide and conquer, and we willingly accept the lesser of 2 evils in hopes that it will somehow turn out good and it never does.

There does not have to be a conspiracy when the real power all wants the same thing.
Everyone is crying about the price of gas, except those poor politically "suppressed" oil companies that have been posting record profits for the last 3 years. Same goes for the major grocery distributing companies. Just go look at their quarterly profit reports.

They haven't learned in 60 years, what makes You think They'll learn overnight?
Unfortunately, in my opinion they have learned and Tuesday’s election results pretty much prove they’re on the right track to dismantle the Constitution.
Sad that American voters appear to be happy with the direction our country is headed.

George Washington was correct.

Red or Blue? The only difference is which restrictions to your freedoms and your right to chose to do what you want as long as it does another no physical harm. Who do you want on a beer can vs on a syrup bottle? One is offended by this and the other that. Divide and conquer. Both are engaged in the business of selling our government to fund their agendas and each have put their party ahead of the constitution and the people and both have caused our massive debt, which is a hidden tax on everyone.

I could go on, but, I have probably said to much already.

No, you haven't. But you still think there is a "We" as in "We the people." That started to disappear in the 1990's and in 30 years is just about extinct. Borders, language, culture are not only erased but are thought to be "whatever phobic." I spent my last 15 working years teaching math in a local High School. More than half were not born in the US, have zero understanding of the "price of freedom" and have promising careers in SSI, SNAP, Section 8, and Medicaid, post diploma. I got suicidal every time (happened often) a "math student" stood under the clock and asked "What time is it?" They will vote, often. "We" are outnumbered and should be added to the "endangered species list." Joe

OK, I will say more.

While 40 million of the 320 million people in the US are immigrants they would not have any political effect if not joined by those already here with the same mentality. But, the population of individual tax dollar parasites is only part of the problem, there is also the problem of corporate and industrial parasites that live of government contracts, subsidies, tax breaks, "incentives" etc. Those are far and away more apt to purchase political influence and either party will be more than willing to sell them such influence and legislation.

While we spent way to much on "social programs", explain to me our need to spend as much on our military as the other top 20 military powers COMBINE when 17 of them are our allies. Explain to me why BIG OIL just got $1.5 billion of OUR TAX DOLLARS approved for four of their projects when they have all posted record profits from bleeding us at the pumps. While there is plenty of finger pointing, no government entity forced them to make those record profits. Explain to me why Federal subsidies to U.S. businesses cost American taxpayers nearly $100 billion last year. Explain to me, why when even the military brass wants to close bases and discontinue projects that never happens. None of those are because of ignorant immigrants.

The bottom 50% of Americans have a combine wealth of less than 400 billion, Musk and Bezos have have 412 billion between them, the next 4 richest have another 400 billion and the 6 that follow to round out the top 12 have another 400 billion plus. The top 300 million richest people in the US have as much money as the rest of us combine. I bet when they call THEIR congressman, the congressman actually gets on the phone and speaks with them. The rest of us are lucky to get a form letter in response. Whose choice and whose advertising dollars have the most influence as to what is news and how it is presented? Big money's or some guy who can't do basic math or read a clock?

Somehow I do not believe the guys flipping burgers at MCDs is where the problems lie

BIG MONEY has done every bit as much to take the WE out as immigration. Those immigrants, the uniformed and the misinformed can easily be swayed to support a cause by using BIG money.

Why do you think $5,700,916,140 was spent on the 2020 Presidential election? That is an average of $37 per voter. How much of it do you think came from the ignorant poor? Why was $8,937,407,772 spent on the 2022 congressional races and how much came from the ignorant poor? Only 52.2% of the citizen voting-age population participated. That is appox 133 million voters and about $67 per vote. None of it contribute by non voters and very little by the ignorant poor

No candidate who does not swear alliance to their party and faithfully vote their line is going to get enough $$$$$$ to have a chance.

In reality WE the PEOPLE have very little choice as to our candidates and there for our actual representatives.

Ask yourself this.
How often to I vote against someone or their party vs how often do I actual vote for someone? Far more people go to the polls to vote against someone or something, than for someone.

Divide and conquer has a long history of working and it is doing an excellent job in this country right now.

1) That's because it's: "Of the lawyers, by the lawyers, for the Lawyers.
2) I haven't voted "for" anyone on a national level since 1980.
3) Who started it? "We" seemed united during WWII and for 20 years after. All of a sudden events start to happen in rapid succession, over a half century, to bring us where we are today. Now it's all "selective outrage" depending on which side you stand. Not to worry, the lawyers will sort it out, right after they get elected/ re-elected. Joe

you should then create your own gas and grocery business and sell your products with no profit and we will all love you,

I am NOT against profit. But I DO find it interesting that the high price of fuel and groceries are being blamed on political suppression and NOT on the businesses who are posting record profits. Who force them to raise prices to make those record profits.

All the oil majors have posted records profits for the last 3 years and continue to do so despite the drop in crude prices and demand. After making $200 BILLION IN PROFITS in 2022, The top 10 have brought in 97 billion during the first 2 quarters of this year alone. This is while our government hands them another 20 billion in direct subsidies a year (which has been on going for a long time)

WHO DID THAT again???

PS, I have made a lot of money off big oil and plan to make more in addition to my small monthly oil royalties check. If my dad wouldn't have had 6 brothers and sisters and I had not had 9 brothers and sisters, and had never got divorced I would be in great shape. One of my cousins was an only child and gets 12 -15 K a month. I just signed a contract to do about a 8 week job in Jan Feb and March and should walk away with close to 40K after taxes.

I hardly hate big oil. LOL, but the facts are what they are.

Groceries? Go look at the RECORD profits posted by the distribution giants like Cargill. Since 2020 there are 62 new "food billionaires" were created world wide

I don't even want to hear about price gouging on primers.
