"Useful idiots" is such an appropriate phrase. Most of these dolts don't have a clue as to the reality of what happened on October 7th. They are only allowed to regurgitate what they are told in the classroom by their so called "professors". They have been coddled by their mommies. Brainwashed by their teachers. Told there are no consequences for being arrested or for breaking laws. And best yet, told they don't have to repay gubment student loans that they have signed a personal guarantee. As a result of this fairy tail upbringing, they are now completely unemployable and unable or unwilling to function in society.

We needed this reminder of why New Yorks Finest are called...New Yorks Finest. I have a sneaking suspicion that they are relishing the moment and opportunity to remind everyone of why they have that nickname.
SUNY (State University of New York) has servers schools and campuses. Locally the police broke up protest at University of Buffalo City Campus. There were three different police agencies there. NY's finest was picking protestors up off ground and carrying them. Then along came Officer K9. It's amazing how fast the protesters suddenly moved. A well trained German Shepherd is the ultimate crowd control tool.

Poor administration often gets poor results. Brown University, Northwestern University in Illinois, the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, Rutgers University at New Brunswick in New Jersey and the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis all brokered agreements with students; no more protests.

I live across the street from Purdue's N.W. Indiana extension campus. It's a BIG school, and they teach mainly engineering and nursing there. About 40% of the students are foreign, they look like Pakistanis to me. Up till now there have be zero protests on or off the campus. Today is commencement, and it's gonna be held outside. Beautiful sunny day, I hope nobody shows up to screw it up for them.

The long term solution is simple. No more federal student loans. Private banks won't fund majors that don't generate income.

It wasn't right then ... isn't right now.
While I look upon history and find agreement with some of the protest against the Vietnam war, the conduct was abhorrent and misguided.
The matters of degree are unimportant.
This current batch is far more misguided than their historical counterparts. This is probably the lowest level of involvement in the conflict we've ever had in this decades long saga. Best thing is just let it run it's course and stand at the ready to deal with spill over if it occurs.
I've said this before - The American Revolution was fought with volunteers.
The frat guys protecting the flag gives me hope that all is not lost. I agree with the comments that we have a large number of soft, spoiled, naive people in the US today.
The sad thing is that they are providing a platform for people that see them for what they are. Useful Idiots.
One other note, I have lived in Ohio all my life and was a kid when the Kent State shootings occurred. I really studied that event and considering what the NG guys had been through leading up to the tragedy gives a lot of insight into why they fired once cornered by the angry mob against the ball diamond back stop. The riots had been going on for weeks all across Ohio and the guard was worn down, overwhelmed and scared. A bad combination.

Israel has a spray that smells worse than human waste that the spray on protesters. Protested being of a certain religionWould be leave to rush and " clean up" as its a religious issue. However these protesters may not be bothered by it….Might be worth a try.
The UNC frat guys are actually students. I doubt that the vast majority of the insurrectionists are students at UNC. Some maybe, but not the majority. Many are paid agitators who go from place to place causing problems.
You might want to read up on the history of conscription in the United States . . .
Protesting in safety in the United States demonstrates a lack of resolve. Go protest in Israel and really show how committed you are. And it may be amusing to watch.

The VSP took care of business at the UVA. No complaints this time from the Charlottesville progressive community but they only love LE when it suits their agenda. These mountain college towns are so culturally different from the areas where they are located.
