PSA Dagger

Not too long ago I bought a PSA 9mm Dagger compact (G19 clone) conplete upper to stick on my Gen 2 Glock 23 so I could shoot 9mm in it. It was pretty cheap although I don't recall the cost. It worked just fine although they don't mention Gen 2 compatibility. The Gen 2 ejector is straight rather than bent but I don't see any other difference.

Well they recently put the Dagger compact complete lower on on sale for 50 bucks. At that price I couldn't resist. I picked it up yesterday. So now I have a Gen 2 G23 again as well as a PSA Dagger compact (G19 clone). I haven't shot the new Dagger combination yet. Maybe tomorrow. However the slide to frane fit seem a bit more sloppy, We;ll see.

I do not own a Glock nor a Dagger but have heard only good reports so far regarding PSA's clones.

I have been taking a new shooter as my guest to the nearby PSA store, with their really nice indoor range. He has been renting one of their Daggers, and is thinking of buying one for his first pistol. This is just my opinion, but I think they are big clunky handguns compared to my own assorted pistols. The saying "....you get what you pay for..." holds true for inexpensive pistols, like a Dagger. But I have to mention that the one he is shooting is a well worn range rental. I don't own or shoot Glocks, so no doubt I am biased in my experience in those sorts of handguns.

But PSA sure sells a lot of them. It is a nice place to wander around in, and in the SC summers, their range is gloriously air condititioned. Worth the membership. SF VET

oink, Glock 9mm pistols have a different extractor than their .357 Sig and .40 S&W counterparts.

I think the Dagger is the only thing that stopped the Canik TP9 from taking over the budget polymer 9mm market. Mind you, the recent prices on CZ P-10 series pistols in various sizes have been very tempting.

OK, thanks. The difference didn't hurt function in any noticeable way when I had the 9mm Dagger slide on the G23 frame.

The Dagger slide is a bit more stylish looking than the OEM should that matter to anyone.

I have tinkered around with the PSA Micro Daggers, building a hicap Glock 43X and 48 clones. So far they have performed very well, no malfunctions in 500 rounds split between the two. I like the ergonomics of the Micro Daggers better than Glocks, the triggers are adequate, and the accuracy is fine for a service pistol.

I have my doubts that the service life will be Glock level, I also could be wrong. The Glock 48 clone has replaced my 19 and the 43X my Kel-Tec P3AT in my carry selection.

Yeah, I also bought a PSA Dagger Micro lower w 2 mags for my wife's G43. I haven't actually given it a workout yet. It seems to fit fine. It's a bit bigger than I espected. It does feel better in my hand but we'll see how she likes it. I expect she will like shooting it better with the PSA lower but she may not like the size in her purse.

I need the rain to stop for long enough for me to cut the grass so I won't lose all of my brass. I also need to crank out some .45 ACP range fodder as thats the semi-auto caliber I most enjoy shooting, although I'm not entirely sure why.
